In Hinduism, there is the doctrine called Catur Warna. Catur Warna comes from the Sanskrit word consisting of ''Catur" means four and the word "warna" is derived from the veins Wr word (read: wri) means choosing. Catur Warna mean life or four divisions of life based on the talent (to) and skills (karma) one, and the quality of work that has as a result of education, developing talent that grows from within and supported by his mental toughness in the face of a job. Four groups later known by the term that is Catur Warna: Brahmana, Ksatrya, Wesya, and Sudra.

Brahmana (Brahmins) are the ones that people in daily life take a religious ceremony, explore Hinduism, as well as to provide guidance to the people of Hindu spirituality. Including this group are the Sulinggih, Pinandita, and Hindu religious teacher. Ksatrya (knights) is a duty of society to protect the community and run the government. The bureaucrats and its board included in this group. In days of old who belonged to this is the king, the grand vizier, courtier, and the like. If Ksatrya (knights) duty wheels of government, Wesya group is in charge of community groups to move the economy. The entry of this group are businessmen, merchants, and the like. Finally, the Sudra class is in charge of community groups to serve all three groups above.
